Writing, Reading, & Social Studies
Our final unit in Reading, Writing, & Social Studies has been going so well. We are studying the Civil War across all the subjects. In Social Studies, we have been learning about all of the battles of the war through mini-lectures. In Reading, the students are working through inquiry by studying primary documents, photographs, reading passages pertaining to the war, and listening to various clips also pertaining to the war. In Writing, the children are working on organizing notes and information they are gathering in reading and social studies to compile a final paper on a Civil War topic of their choice. It is amazing all of the information that is being processed while we are working through these events. I am so impressed at all they are learning and sharing!
Math
Next week we will be testing on our final units on Tuesday. We will then be testing on everything we have learned cumulatively through the end of the year assessment. Then we are done! It's amazing!
